King/Queen of the Mountain Dual

Eligibility: The Duals event are invite-only for USA Wrestling sanctioned clubs. All dual team competitors must also be registered for the individual tournament at the 2021 King/Queen of the Mountain. To request an invitation, please email Christina Hargrove at chargrove@usawrestling.org.

Style: Folkstyle

Divisions:

Queen of the Mountain Dual teams will be made up of wrestlers currently enrolled in 1st-8th grade. Wrestlers must be prepared to show proof of grade if challenged.

Weight Classes (QOM): 45, 50, 58, 65, 73, 82, 87, 95, 101, 110, 120, 135

King of the Mountain Dual teams will be made up of wrestlers currently enrolled in K-6th grade. Wrestlers must be prepared to show proof of grade if challenged.

Weight Classes (KOM K-6): 45, 49, 53, 56, 59, 63, 67, 71, 77, 84, 92, 98, 108, 117, 130

Dual weigh-ins will take place on Thursday night. These weigh-ins will count for King of the Mountain, however each athlete who weighs-in for the duals must wrestle at least one match during the duals for it to still count towards King of the Mountain.

Deadlines and Requirements: Each athlete must have a current USAW membership and be listed on the Official event roster. A $100 deposit and team roster must be sent in by Thursday, October 14th to Christina Hargrove at chargrove@usawrestling.org. All coaches must have a current USAW Wrestling Leader membership.

Team Seeding Criteria: (enter only highest point value per wrestler)

A. Kids/Girls Folkstyle National Champion: 5 points

B. Previous year Women’s Nationals/Tour of America National Champion: 4 points

C. Previous year Kids/Girls Folkstyle National Place Winner: 3 points

D. Previous year Women’s Nationals /Tour of America National Placer: 3 points

E. Current year Kids Regional (only 1 regional per athlete) Champion: 2 points

Entry fee: $450 per team. Please make checks payable to USA Wrestling. Teams will pay on arrival at weigh-ins for the duals.

Awards: The top-Three teams will receive awards and the winning teams will be recognized following the conclusion of the Duals.
